(60 items)A couple of years ago I was out shopping garage sales, and came across this sewing machine and the cabinet too. I thought it was really cool looking, and it's not electric, it's an old treadle type. Plus look at all the accessories! That I have no idea what they do. So of course I thought, if there were ever power shortages and I needed to sew, I MUST HAVE THIS SEWING MACHINE! Well, I haven't actually ever used it, but it is still fun to look at it.

Donna, 9 years agoI just aquired the same sewing machine. I have always wanted an old one like this. I have a bunch of attachments that I have no idea how to use. I really would appreciate some info if anyone has a owners manual. I cant even figure out how to thread it.

What is a Minnesota Model C in good condition worth???., 8 years agoAs a Minnesotan I love it! I know that in the old Sears&Roebuck the Minnesota sewing machines were the top of the line.
In the 1909 addition you could have a Minnesota for I think $29.99. Loucile, 8 years agoDonna, you can go to You Tube and type in threading a White Rotary sewing machine. I dont know if this will help or not but it helped me thread my machine.

It actually works. L B, 8 years agoI aquired my Grandmother's Minnesota Model C on our last trip driving to Wisconsin. I am so happy to have it home!
I have none of the accessories that came with it and no manual. I do intend to use it once it is re-belted. Everytime I touch it, it like having Grandma Lilly near. I know she spent a lot of time quilting on this little gem!!! I have a few of her beautiful postage stamp quilts. I am so excited, being a quilter myself and am quite Anxious to begin!

As a child I figured out how to put thread on the bobbin by myself, and how to make it stitch! Pretty good, huh? I do have an original manual, and accessories.

I could make a copy of the manual. It is very old and fragile paper. Grandma folded the entire little booklet in half so as to fit it in the drawer of the cabinet, so every page is folded down the center, but that wouldn't matter too much., 5 years agoThe Minnesota C is a Davis model M - Sears used Davis machines exclusively for a short time in the early 20th century - the loss of the Sears market by 1919 is said to have been the cause of the company demise., 5 years agoI just acquired my grandmother's Minnesota C.
